About Sanjeev Kapoor: A Chef's Journey


chef Sanjeev Kapoor is also known as Rachael ray of India ,is an Indian popular celebrity chef, entrepreneur and television personality as well . He was born in 10th April in 1964 in Ambala, which is in the state of Haryana, India, located on the border with the Indian state of Punjab . According to 2021, he is 56 years old . He is belong to hindu religion . In his family, apart from his parents, father & mother who was the banker and housewife , he has one brother whose  profession is chartered account and a sister whose name is Narmitaif we talk about his hobby, he love to travelling different country to explore culture and for relaxing and entertainment . The favorite actor of Sanjeev Kapoor is Amitabh Bachchan, who is one of the most popular bollywood actor of indian cinema . The favorite restaurant of Sanjeev Kapoor is Noma in Copenhagon, the capital city of Denmark  and the destination is New Zealand . According to Sanjeev Kapoor , cumin, clove, pepper and cardomon are among the favorite spices and his favorite food are Bengali sandesh and pani puri, which is called water ball in English term . Sanjeev Kapoor got married in October 1992 with Alyona Kapoor and now,  He has two sister whose name is Kriti Kapoor and Rachita Kapoor . 

    
After completing secondary school from St. Thomas school, Meerut .He wanted to become a doctor because he had taken biology as his chief subject in matric, but his friend Jasmit Singh told him to study Hotel management, which became the right decision for Sanjeev Kapoor and he completed Diploma in hotel management from institute of Hotel Management catering & Nutrition, Pusa, New Delhi  and then he started his career in the hospitality industry in 1984 . Sanjeev Kapoor is not only the famous Indian chef, but also the richest chef of India, in 2019, after making more than 200 million Indian rupees . According to 2021, the total net  worth of Sanjeev Kapoor is 140 million dollars . he has more than 65 restaurants in 9 different nations and more than 3000 employees are working in his restaurants as  the name of his some restaurant is signature by Sanjeev Kapoor in Hong Kong , the yellow chili in UP, India and green of salt .

He has wriiten many recipe book, the most popular one is Sanjeev Kapoor Khana Khazana , which was written by him in 1998 .  Sanjeev Kapoor become famous in the world from Khana Khazana show . In 1993, Sanjeev Kappor got a offer to host the Khana Khazana show. This show was fully based upon the Indian cooking .This show was dircted by the Hansal Mheta .It is considered that this show is the longest running show of its type in Asia which was broadcast in 120 nations such as Nepal, Pakistan and had more than 500 million views in the year 2010 A.D . The total number of episodes of Khana Khazana were 649 and the final episode date was september 8, 2012 .

He has been got many certificates and awards in his life ,but one of the most important award was Padma Shree which was awarded to chef Sanjeev Kapoor from the Indian government in 13 April in 2017, for contributing in culinary field.

He made Guinness world record in the same year by cooking 918 kg khichdi(a Indian dish) live at world food India festival .In this record, the team of 50 chefs were led by Sanjeev Kapoor .
